Small groups are an integral expression of any church community who seeks to be Biblical and Alive in the Spirit. Classic small groups are an ideal format for bible study, and have taken many forms over the years, included neighborhood groups, and discipling groups.
Our weekly small group Bible studies include:
Tuesdays at 11:00am – 12noon Book of Acts
Sundays at 9:30am GOSPEL of JOHN – Child care is available for this study
Fridays at 6:30am Prayer and Communion
Other groups that meet at Messiah include:
First Saturday of each month at 8:00AM Men’s Breakfast and Fellowship
Tuesdays at 7:15pm Boy Scout Troop 316 meeting
Every 2nd Thursday 9:30- 11AM Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) childcare is provided.
Every 4th Thursday 7- 9PM Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) no childcare available -special night for mommies!
Every 1st, 3rd and 5th Tuesday 6- 9PM Sit and Sew at the Church of the Messiah.
Our Prayer Teams:
Our various Prayer teams meet at Messiah at 9:15AM Sundays; or via email or texts, and at other times throughout the month.
Small groups also describe how we do our ministry. Each organization within our church; our Board, Music team, Children’s Ministry Co-op, and Work Parties all function as small groups.
Is a collection of elected leaders who meet monthly with the staff of the church and preschool to discuss the activities and direction of the ministries. A subset of the board is an appointed Vision Team who also meet monthly to discuss strategic priorities for the Board.
Works together to share responsibility for providing music for each of our services. Leadership in this group often rotates between our very capable musicians, singers, and the projection team.
Serve together Sunday mornings to provide rotating leadership to our children’s Sunday School classes and the nursery.
Meet as needed on Saturdays to mow, trim, paint, etc.
